We make no extra charge for awnings and welcome friendly and well behaved dogs
The well stocked reservoir is just behind the campsite itself , beyond the treeline and is the epitome of peace and tranquility. This is one of the higher points in the surrounding area and from here you can see nothing but farm and heathland. No distant rumble from traffic here, just a background of birdsong and the wind rustling the reeds.
If you are looking for an out from today’s busy life style, you will soon discover we have an abundance of country lanes and heathland which is home to diverse plantlife and wildlife . The small Muntjac deer are very common to the heath.
As we only have limited space we strongly recommend that you endeavour to book as early as possible should you wish to reserve a pitch. We are welcoming and friendly and will endeavour to answer any queries you may have. Open from Easter to October We are a quiet and friendly site catering for seasonal and touring caravans, motorhomes and tents. We attract hikers, cyclists, bird and wildlife watchers, fishermen, sailors and those just wanting to relax in beautiful surrounds. We are perfectly positioned for those wishing to make us a base for exploring Suffolk. Set in the heart of the Suffolk Heritage coast , we are surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty with wildlife trust marshes , heaths and coastal walks. We have our own well stocked reservoir for the keen fisherman and are only a few miles from the coast for sea fishing.
You need not travel more than a couple of miles in any direction to enjoy nature at its most wild and unspoilt. There is also the famous Steam and the Wings and Wheels festivals at Henham hall , where the world famous Latitude festival is also held. The Aldeburgh lantern carnival later in the year and music and culture all year round at Snape Maltings. The Adnams Brewery tours are close by at Southwold and just over the river from the lovely Southwold harbour is Walberswick where the quirky annual crab fishing contest is held.
You will find an abundance of Farmers markets locally where you can buy fresh Asparagus among other things when in season as well as fresh fish, Samphire ,Lobster and a wide range of shellfish and seafood pulled straight from the sea all along the coastline. Eat out in any one of many great pubs and restaurants scattered around the area.
A little further afield in a northerly direction you have Gt Yarmouth and Lowestoft. The southernmost gateway to the Norfolk Broads at Oulton Broad is only 30 minutes by car. To the South, again about a 30 minute ride away ,the famous Tide Mill at Woodbridge and the Viking burial ground at Sutton Hoo. Both set on the banks of the meandering River Deben.

Irene, John & Steve
Mill Hill farm Caravan & Camp-site is managed by John & Irene Prince who are responsible for virtually all aspects of the day to day running of the park. They man reception, keep the camp running smoothly and generally act as inexhaustible fonts of wisdom on anything from local opening times to the likely-hood of snow falling on Dunwich beach this July. John is an engineer by trade ( both electrical and mechanical) and developed and maintains most of the technical infastructure of the site. Johns services can often be made available to caravan and motor-home owners to help solve any mechanical or electrical problems that may arise . Irene is a fully qualified nurse with many years experience and ensures that any on-site emergencies can be dealt with appropriately. The newest addition to the staff is Steve who can be found either in reception or assisting with the day to day running of the park. All are happy to help.
