Dalebottom Farm is situated in the Naddle Valley 2 ½ miles South of Keswick on the A591 Ambleside/Windermere Road. Surrounding us you will find some of the more famous mountains or fells, with breathtaking views of Skidaw, Helvellyn and Blencathra. We are located perfectly for visitors to explore the beauty of Lakeland and participate in any of our local activities: walking, sailing, pony trekking, climbing, fishing and golfing are but a few to mention. Above are beautifull views of Blencathra and Helvellyn which can be seen from Dalebottom Farm. The car park at Helvellyn is approximatley 4 miles South on the A591, on route is the beautiful Kings Head, an old country inn with low beams and log fires offering all the atmosphere you would expect. Approximately 2 miles from Dalebottom is the historic Ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle which is accessible by footpath from the site. The best time to vist this mysterious setting is at sunset or sunrise in order to experience the full effect. Carry on for another 2 miles across the A66 and you will reach Threlkeld villiage. On the main street, running through the villiage you will find the Salutation Inn and all visitors from Dalebottom are welcome to take advantage of the excellent food. St John's in the Vale Church is also accessible by footpath from the site. The earliest reference to this church dates back to 1554 and is well worth a visit. At Dalebottom Farm we have five static caravans. Three of the caravans are 35 x 12 ft as pictured below. They are double glazed of a very high standard. The main bedroom has a double bed and two singles in the small room and the lounge has a convertible z-bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, fridge and microwave and a separate dining area . In the lounge there is a television and a comfortable and spacious sitting area with good views. Visitors are asked to bring their own sheets and towels, as these are not supplied. The remaining two caravans are also well equipped, very comfortable, and slightly smaller. Touring caravans are very welcome at Dalebottom! They have electric hook-ups (5 amp) and every pitch has good views across the fells. Tariff for touring caravans is available on request. Campers are also welcome on site. Visitors are asked to check-in at reception before pitching their tents. Tariffs available on request.
