Brake lever adjustment

Please correct the mistakes below:

Hi everyone. I'm very new to caravanning so am on something of a learning curve. I wonder if anyone can give me some advice on how to adjust the brake lever on my ABI Daystar. It seems to have to travel quite a long way before the brakes are firmly applied! Any help or guidance would be very gratefully received.

I've only just become a member and noticed your post. I hope you have managed to sort it. However if it's just the amount of travel in the Hand Brake Lever that's bothering you then (as long as the hand Brake is engaged) please don't worry.

As far as I'm aware AND according to my trusty Haynes manual... and I quote " a handbrake on post 1980 caravans is not correctly engaged until it reaches a vertical position. This takes considerable effort to acheive"

That was one of my concerns when I bought mine. Hope this helps. -Steve-
