James Sleight and Geoffrey Martin of Geoffrey Martin & Co were appointed Joint Administrators
of Vanmaster Limited ("the Company") on 29th April 2013. The Company has ceased to trade and the Joint Administrators are marketing the business and assets for sale.

That's the sad state of affairs these days, money is tight and people start to cut back on hols etc, so the caravan industry suffers from lack of influx of new buyers, and those who already have caravans tend to keep hold of them, so the second hand market also suffers. Let's hope the economic climate brightens up and no more decent manufacturers go to the wall.

Vanmaster has been sold, the new owner has already re-employed some of the staff and hopes to re-start production soon.

It was a great shame when Fleetwood went to the wall. They made lovely caravans at reasonable prices. I wonder why no-one bought them out rather than let them cease production?
