Hi rwallis Depends on the material you could use one of those Rug Doctors you can hire from most supermarkets you get special attachment to clean furniture. you could do carpets at same time cost you about £23 buying their detergent for 24 hrs hire. takes about 2/4 hours to dry on settee etc. Last time I had a steam clean it took about 6hrs to dry. with Rug Doctor you can empty dirty water out and keep sucking as much water/ dampness out after cleaning. If you hire Doctor make sure staff have cleaned filter in bottom of tank part. NO WORK. I removed the last person to hire it front room carpet before it worked.

Thanks, I was looking at the rug doctor or steam cleaning but didn't know anyone who'd used it. I'll give it a try. Thanks

Hi Nwallis,
Depending on how bad the marks are you could also try Pampervan it can be used neat for bad marks or dilute for other marks.
It is a natural product so it is safe to use.
