Do L.D LINES offer a discount if you book when any of the caravan shows are on like DFDS do ?
we are storing our van in normandy this year and the drive from dunkirk is about 500 km so it makes sense for us to go the le harve route but it is not the cheapest i have come across

The chepest way to take a car across to France is by using your Tesco Clubcard vouchers on the shuttle (Folkestone to Calais). You get 3 for 1 i.e. £10 in clubcard vouchers gives you £30 in Shuttle vouchers. We have used this to travel to Belgium and Holland with the van but you need to factor in the extra time spent on the ropad in France and the extra fuel. Depending on where you live in the UK there may be little or no difference this side.
From Cardiff the LD option would still be attractive for us if travelling to Normandy or the west coast of France.
