Please correct the mistakes below:

Is it the norm for manufacturers not to have a customer support helpline? I recently contacted a leading UK dealer (No names mentioned - Yet) to be advised queries were to be submitted by email!

Surely this is a poor service to their customers?

Has anyone else experienced this?

The only manufacture as a help line and there own forum is Swift group.

Most caravan manufacturers do not deal directly with the customer, all queries have to go via the dealership.
I tried to contact the manufacturer of my van and the refused to accept the call.
You are also at their mercy when it comes to spares 3 months plus is not uncommon.
I personally think that customer service from them is non existant and a poor reflection on a very large industry whose products are not cheap, let's face it the average person spends more on a van than on a car but you get better service on the car.
