Please correct the mistakes below:

Have piece of ground adjacent to my property which upon council search is unregistered. Despite all neighbours except one agreeing that it can be used, council suddenly threatened me with legal action. Now in hands of solicitor who feels the councils comments all unregistered land belongs to the council is a load of rubbish as land search shows that it is unregistered and that their claim is unjustified. Can't wait for result!

Check with the Land Registry if the land is registered to an owner. If not, then put in an ownership claim with them.

have now had contact with council who are now registering land in their name as this had not been done before, and despite land search being done and no registered owner found. not worth the money to continue, so just park caravan in road when preparing for a trip. ps. if you do this make sure it is done legally. which to the annoyance of 1 neighbour, mine is
