The 18th century house (not open to the public)) has a 19th century addition on one side; the main Victorian addition was demolished in 1957. There are ornamental plants close to the house, succeeded by trees, including mature tree rhododendrons and shrubs. The walled garden included greenhouses and a variety of flowering plants as well as vegetables. Plants are available for sale. There are woodland walks, including a half hour walk round a pond (artificial lake). Trees include Cordyline, Davidia (handkerchief tree) and Eucryphia. Views over Luce Bay.
