Edinburgh, renowned as the capital of Scotland is a magnificent city, one which you could not afford to miss in your next caravan trip. As one of the historical major centres of Enlightenment, Edinburgh offers caravanners the chance to wonder round the University of Edinburgh, climb Scott Monument, explore the Castle and picnic in Princes Street Gardens as well as enjoy the amazing shopping.

Take a break from towing the caravan and catch a train to the local villages – Dunbar, home to John Muir, offers visitors the chance to walk round the picturesque harbor side, where as Livingstone presents touring  caravan owners with a little more to do being the third largest town in Scotland.

At the heart of Livingston is the Almondvale Shopping Centre where caravanners can get there filling of shopping, or if that doesn’t quite work there is also the Livingston Designer Outlet. Alternatively there is also the option of having a go on the racing karts, ten pin bowling, golf and even the Bubbles Leisure pool.

Those caravanners with children or young adults should also check out Edinburgh Zoo, or the Five Sisters Zoo, Beecraigs Country Park, the Palace of Holyrood House, Royal Yacht Britannia, the Scottish Storytelling Centre and the National Gallery of Scotland.
