The Museum of Liverpool is also worth a visit as a new landmark building at the Pier Head, at the core of the World Heritage Site on Liverpool's famous waterfront! Alternatively cross the Mersey, maybe with Mersey Ferries, who  offer a 50-minute River Explorer cruise with commentary, and pop over to Liverpool’s neighbour, the Wirral where keen caravanners and motorhome enthusiasts can visit Birkenhead Park, Hamilton Square, Hilbre Island, Lady Lever Art Gallery, Leasowe Castle and Prenton Park. Caravan sites in the Wirral offer great natural beauty, with unspoilt open spaces and wonderful sea views and there are many lovely walks along the seashore, as well as the Wirral Way, which is an easy walk for several miles.
