Caravan Sites, Caravan Parks and Campsites in Suffolk

Join the debates in England’s curious county (there was much discussion about whether it was an insult to call the county curious) of Suffolk. With its mixture of Waterfront, restaurants and heritage, Suffolk is a breathtaking county perfect for visiting in a caravan or motorhome, alternatively camp or hire a static caravan from one of the caravan sites for your next touring caravan holiday.

The Suffolk Coast and Heaths are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and are home to masses of wildlife and jungles of flowers, trees and mosses. The country side is predominately low-lying and there are very few hills. A large proportion of the land is used for growing crops, and farms and wildlife alike prosper, helped by the wetlands of The Broads in the North. Discover the hidden foot paths and cycle route whilst getting some fresh air away from the caravan - Suffolk offers miles of tracks through stunning coastal reaches and rolling countryside. The flowers at Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds are not to be missed either. Alternatively feel the breeze on your face as your speed down the river in a boat, motorized or sailing.

Suffolk is also jam packed full of history - from Ickworth House, near Bury St Edmunds, to Sutton Hoo, the site of one of the UK's greatest archaeological discoveries that reveals the lives of the Anglo Saxons in ancient Suffolk. Walk in the footsteps of Mary Tudor at Framlingham Castle, and maybe you’ll even be declared King or Queen (although Mary was the first ever ruling Queen of England). Visit the beautiful architecture of towns like Lavenham, Sudbury and Long Melford, or bring history back to life at Kentwell Hall.

Horse enthusiasts among you caravanners will be pleased to hear that the county's celebrated equestrian heritage still thrives in Newmarket, the international home of horseracing, and the Suffolk Punch Trust.
